A 36 year old man is facing nearly 100 charges after Saskatoon Police allege they found him in possession of nearly a hundred pieces of identification. Officers were patrolling the Meewasin Trail near the University Bridge around 9:40 last night (mon) when they stopped a man on a bike for not having it equipped with a light. They realized he had outstanding warrants for his arrest. When he handed over his backpack to the officers, he began pedaling away. He was stopped, the backpack was searched, and 85 pieces of government issued IDs and four credit cards were found. He is charged with Assaulting a Police Officer, four counts of Possession of Stolen Credit Cards, and 85 counts of Possession of Identification.
