Saskatoon Police say they have charged two men after being called out to the area of Bedford Road and Avenue W North around 3:40 a.m. Monday to a report of gunshots.
The patrol and Canine Unit members who attended found evidence of gun shots outside a home in the 200 block of Avenue W North. The Tactical Support Unit was called in along with the Crisis Negotiation Team and four people exited a home on that block shortly before 6:30 a.m.
A 49 year old Saskatoon man is facing charges of Reckless Discharge of Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Use of Firearm in a Reckless Manner, Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Weapon and Breach of Undertaking.
A 47 year old man is facing charges of; Aiding and Abetting the Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Possessing Ammunition Contrary to a Prohibition Order.
The investigation included a search of the home on Avenue W North where police say they located a sawed off 12 gauge shotgun, a spent shell and ammunition.
