If you get home at the end of the day and think you’re too tired to go for a walk, give this some thought.
Well-known Saskatoon resident Frank Atchison plans to walk 5 kilometres per day down Highway 11 from Saskatoon to Regina to raise money for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Shriners Hospital for Children. And his planned arrival in Regina will coincide with his 95th birthday June 15th.
Frank’s Walk will begin at the Masonic Temple Thursday morning. Well-wishers are welcome and organizers suggest there is plenty of space in the parking lot to see him off from your vehicle.
In addition to completing the walk from Saskatoon to Regina and celebrating 95 years of living, Frank Atchison will also receive his 50 year Shriners Service Pin at the end of his walk in June.
