Lloydminster RCMP are investigating a sudden death in the city on Friday.

At 6 p.m. that day officers responded to a home in Lloydminster after a report of a man who had died. The RCMP Forensic Identification Section were called in to assist with the investigation along with the RCMP Major Crimes Unit, who have since taken over the investigation.

RCMP believe there is no threat to the public and say a police presence can be expected at various locations around Lloydminster as this investigation evolves.  An update will be provided when available.
