A 19-year-old man is facing drug- and weapons-related charges following an investigation by the Guns & Gangs Unit.
Members of the Unit received information that a man was in possession of several firearms, and a traffic stop was conducted just before seven o’clock Friday evening. Police allege the 19 year old was in possession of a large sum of cash. A search warrant was executed on two vehicles and an apartment in the 400 block of 4th Avenue North. Police say they seized two loaded restricted handguns that had the serial numbers filed off. Police also allege finding various ammunition, cannabis, cocaine, codeine, and approximately $3,880 in cash.
The 19-year-old is charged with several firearms and drug offences.
