If you purchased oven mitts from Giant Tiger recently you might want to make sure they aren’t part of a Health Canada recall.

The recall notice comes after reports of the Proctor Silex Pantone oven mitt melting and catching on fire when in contact with high heat.  The oven mitts are a potential burn and fire hazard.

The product was sold from August 2019 to March 2021 in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. If you purchased the oven mitts in question you can return them to Giant Tiger for a refund.
