Corman Park Police have charged a man they report was driving at excessive speeds, while impaired nearly three times over the legal limit, this weekend.

On Sunday at around 2:00am, officers spotted a vehicle traveling at 170 kilometers per hour on Highway 11 near Warman.  Police stopped the vehicle and the driver was arrested for impaired driving, along with dangerous driving. The driver provided breath samples that police allege had the reading of 220 milligram per cent.

The vehicle was impounded for 60 days and the driver is set to appear in court in July.
