The Saskatoon Tribal Council will be holding a walk-in vaccination clinic at Sasktel Centre this week.
Tribal Chief Mark Arcand says about 330 AstraZeneca vaccinations, supplied by Indigenous Services Canada will be given out per day.

Arcand says the walk-in clinic will be in addition to the 200 pre-booked appointments per day, with about 15 nurses providing vaccines during the week.  The walk-in clinic will be first come first serve starting at 9:30 Monday and then each day, until Saturday. The clinic will close at roughly 4 p.m. each day or until supplies last.

Arcand says to date, their pre-registration call center has seen over 13,000 people pre-register for vaccination appointments. So far 3800 people have been vaccinated at Saskatoon Tribal Council clinics.  Arcand recommends bringing some food, water and a lawn chair to the walk-in clinic, as there could be quite a line-up this week.

Arcand says the clinic is following SHA guidelines and to check for criteria on the government’s website to see if you qualify.

Arcand explains the Saskatoon Tribal Council has to do their part “when you look at it, COVID-19 doesn’t see a race, an age, or a colour, it affects everyone.” He says STC is proud as an Indigenous organization to be contributing to the health and safety of the greater good.  Arcand states the STC is making a difference in Saskatoon, by making sure they are helping everyone.
