A big day Tuesday for the C-F-L and home-grown football players!
The annual C-F-L Canadian Draft starts at 5 o’clock, Saskatchewan Time, with all nine teams slated to make selections in a snake-like format through six rounds. The Saskatchewan Roughriders hold the second, 17th, 20th, 35th, 38th and 53rd picks.
Meanwhile, U of S Huskies’ head coach Scott Flory identified a trio of Dogs whom he thinks could be chosen Tuesday…defensive backs Nelson Lokombo and Josh Haggerty, along with offensive lineman Connor Berglof. Lokombo was the 2019 U Sports defensive player-of-the-year. Berglof is a Saskatoon product and Tommy Douglas grad while Haggerty is a defensive back, like Lokombo, who calls Regina his home town.
