A traffic stop on April 29, executed by the Lloydminster R-C-M-P’s General Investigation Section and Crime Reduction Unit resulted in three individuals being arrested and a large seizure of drugs.

Kellie Moccasin, aged 26, and 41-year-old Leroy Moccasin Junior, both of the Saulteaux First Nation near Cochin, along with 33-year-old Robin Moccasin of North Battleford, were checked out in their vehicle at a hotel parking lot in the 5400 block of 44th Street in Lloydminster. After it was found that the driver had a suspended driver’s license, further investigation revealed the three were in possession of over 400 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine with a street value of about 50-thousand dollars. In addition, Robin Moccasin was under conditions at the time of his arrest due to a large scale drug trafficking file in North Battleford from March 19th. All three accused were released by a Justice of the Peace to attend Lloydminster, Alberta Provincial Court on May 25th.
