The Regina Police Service have now issued 11 public health tickets and one traffic, summary offence ticket information to individuals in attendance at an April 24 anti-mask gathering in Victoria Park.
In addition, the investigation continues into other rallies and activities, with police having gathered evidence to help identify unmasked protesters in a shopping mall on the same day. More tickets for breaching Public Health Orders are expected to be issued from this incident. The orders state that no more than 10 people can be gathered outdoors and anyone in a public space, such as a mall, is required to wear a mask. Meanwhile, Regina Police say they are aware of another gathering planned for this weekend to protest Saskatchewan’s Public Health Orders, adding they have an operational plan to maintain the peace while gathering evidence for further investigation.
