Almost a year after the death of a North Battleford man, an RCMP investigation has led to charges against two more suspects bringing the total number of those charged in the case to six.
The body of 20 year old Damian Moosomin was found in the back yard of a property in the 1500 block of 105th Street in North Battleford on May 16th 2020. He had been reported missing five days earlier.
36 year old Denver Roy is charged with accessory after the fact and indecent interference with a dead body. A man who was under 18 at the time of the offence has also been charged with accessory after the fact.
Others already charged in this case include 23 year old Tye Partridge of Moosomin First Nation who is charged with first degree murder and 32 year old Jannay Blackbird is charged with second degree murder. 23 year old Stormy Wapass-Semaganis from Edmonton and 41 year old Melissa Semaganis from the Poundmaker Cree Nation, are both charged with one count each of accessory after the fact to murder.
