Pay parking revenues were down approximately 51 percent in 2020 compared to the year before.

City administration reports that pay parking revenues were significantly reduced last year due to the pandemic due to fewer vehicles downtown and various suspensions in pay parking.

In March of 2020 requirements for pay parking, the Residential Parking Program for time on the street, and city-wide 72-hour parking time limits were suspended for three months. Pay parking requirements on Saturdays were suspended for the period of December 12th to March 27th.

The city reports in 2020 Saskatoon saw a total of $3.8 million in parking program revenues.

Additionally, administration reports processing nearly 23,000 parking customer service enquiries, 6,500 parking permits under several programs and attaining payment for over 3,500 long overdue parking tickets through the Chronic Offender Parking Enforcement Program.
