T-S-N is reporting that the recent second overall pick in the 2021 C-F-L Draft, Nelson Lokombo, will work out for Washington of the N-F-L on Thursday.
The Abbotsford, B-C, product and U of S star was chosen by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Lokombo’s workout comes ahead of Washington’s mini-camp that begins on Friday. If the defensive back has a successful workout and earns an invite to Washington’s mini-camp, he will be only one of five undrafted or signed rookies that the team is allowed to bring in for camp this season. The 22-year-old Lokombo played three seasons at the U of S. In 30 career games with the Huskies, Lokombo piled up 115 tackles, 10 interceptions and three sacks, and two forced fumbles.
