Ramadan ends tonight with the first sighting of the new moon. As part of the month of Ramadan, Muslims don’t eat or drink during daylight hours. Ramadan is also a time when Muslims are encouraged to give to charity. The ending of Ramadan is known as Eid Al Fitr. According to the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan, there are between 8000 and 10,000 Muslims living in the Saskatoon area.
