Prince Albert Police say a man who was rescued from the North Saskatchewan River, Sunday morning around 7 a.m., has passed away. The Prince Albert Police Service, Prince Albert Fire Department, and Parkland ambulance responded to a report of a man in the river. A 65-year-old was rescued. Foul play is ruled out and police say this was not a suspicious event.

Overall on the weekend the Prince Albert Police Service responded to 322 calls for service and made 59 arrests. One of those incidents was for a complaint of a man being threatened by another man with a firearm. This happened in the 800 block of 13th Street West late Sunday morning. A suspect was located and an air soft/BB gun was found in a nearby garbage can. A 37 year old man faces firearm charges.
