On Saturday at approximately 5:35 p.m., Patrol officers responded to the report of a street robbery, near Preston Ave North and 108th Street West. Police allege a man approached the victim and produced bear spray, demanding their bicycle. He then fled on the bicycle and the victim was not injured. Approximately 15 minutes later Police say they located the suspect with the bicycle near 25th Street East and 2nd Ave North and took him into custody.
A 26-year-old man is charged with Robbery, Weapon Dangerous to the Public, Possessing Identity Documentation Relating to Another Person and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Stabbing on 109th Street West
The Saskatoon Police Service is also investigating after two men were stabbed in a residence in the 100 block of 109th Street West on Saturday.
Both men aged 37 and 39, sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for assessment. Police report two suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.
