Saskatoon Police say three people are in custody after refusing to stop for police, Wednesday morning. Just before three o’clock, patrol officers saw a white Volkswagen Golf with a mismatched licence plate, near Avenue G and 31st Street. A traffic stop was attempted, but the driver refused to stop.

The Air Support Unit guided a Canine Unit to the location of the suspect vehicle in an alley near Northumberland Avenue and Milton Street. Police allege the driver struck a fence in the 800 block of Northumberland Avenue prior to being immobilized by the Canine Unit vehicle. Three occupants were arrested without further incident. No one was hurt.

Police say a male and a female passenger were found to have outstanding warrants. The female was allegedly found in possession of knives, pepper spray and identity documents belonging to someone else.

A 40-year-old man is charged with Dangerous Driving and Evade Police.
A 26-year-old woman is charged with 3 counts of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Identity Documents Relating to Another Person and Breach of Release.
