At 4:17 Thursday morning, the Saskatoon Fire Department received a report of a structure fire at 1212 Avenue G North. Upon arriving, fire crews observed smoke and flames coming from the attached garage of a house. Crews entered the building to ensure there were no occupants inside. Utility companies were notified to shut down the utilities for safety reasons. The fire was brought under control and completely extinguished by 6:21 a.m.
The fire investigator believes the fire is suspicious. The scene was turned over to Police for further investigation. Damage is estimated to be $50,000.
