University of Regina researchers say they are debunking vaccine misinformation with virtual town hall meetings. Two University of Regina researchers will serve as panelists at virtual Town Halls. The first took place Tuesday and the second is tonight. Members of the public can register for these Zoom-based sessions at Saskatchewan Vaccine Q&A.  There is also a phone-in option available.

Dr. Andrew Cameron, Associate Professor of Biology and Dr. Tanya Dahms, Professor of Biochemistry, both from the U of R, are teaming up with researchers from the University of Saskatchewan as well as local physicians and pharmacists to answer questions from Saskatchewan people about the science and safety of COVID-19 vaccines.

Dr. Dahms says there is a great deal of misinformation circulating about vaccines and vaccinations, “In response we have assembled this panel of Saskatchewan based experts to help the public filter through and make sense of what’s out there.” She describes it as a safe space for Saskatchewan residents to ask questions around vaccines and vaccination.
