A million dollar drug bust in Regina. Regina Police say they successfully completed the largest seizure of fentanyl, 28 hundred grams in the City’s history.
The investigation was completed on Wednesday. A total of seven search warrants were executed: five on residences and two on vehicles. One residence was located in the Greens area, two in the Glen Cairn area, one in the Windsor Park area, and one in the Hawkstone area.
Along with the fentanyl officer seized, Over 450 grams of cocaine, a stolen, loaded handgun, over $43,000 Canadian currency, additional items used to traffic controlled substances.
For context: the fentanyl alone is approximately 28,000 doses, with a street value of over a million dollars. Four-Hundred and fifty grams of cocaine has a street value of $45,000.00.
Thirty-one year-old Guleed Warsame of Calgary, 29 year-old Yusuf MUSE of Mississauga, Ontario, and 20 year-old Abbas Abdinour, of Toronto, were arrested in relation to the investigation. Warsame and Muse face drug and weapons charges. Abdinour faces drug and proceeds of crime charges.
