SIGA, the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority, is getting ready to open all seven of its casino properties to the public on June 20th which is the date designated by the Saskatchewan government to move to step 2 of the Reopen Roadmap.
During the initial phase of opening, SIGA says the casinos will start up in a reduced capacity with the 150-person maximum, as stipulated by public health guidelines, and maintaining the physical distancing requirements. SIGA casinos will offer select gaming and food service as well.
Zane Hansen, SIGA President and CEO says last summer SIGA implemented an enhanced health and safety program with increased frequency of cleaning and sanitation while managing physical distancing practices.
When you attend a SIGA casino you can also expect to provide information for contact tracing purposes. Guests are required to check in prior to entering the casino which can be done with a Players Club card or by providing a name and contact number. There will also be a screening process before entering the casino.
