A 49 year-old Regina man has been charged with kidnapping and uttering threats.
On Thursday at around 2:20 p.m. police were dispatched to a home for a report of a domestic weapons offense that had has allegedly occurred earlier in the day at a business in the 200 block of Albert Street North.
A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had gone to her workplace and had got into her car when she was seated inside. The man then allegedly threatened her with a weapon and demanded that she drive away. A co-worker then reportedly came to hear aid and the suspect fled on foot. The victim was not harmed and police say when the incident was reported they already had the suspect in custody on related domestic warrants.
Police say because this is a domestic incident they will not be making the 49 year-old man’s name public.
