Saskatchewan RCMP say there may be more victims after three people were charged with attempted murder after a nearly 8 month long investigation. October 4th, 2020, Fort Qu’appelle EMS and RCMP responded to a complaint of an injured person found north of Fort Qu’appelle.

Investigators determined the victim met three suspects outside of a nightclub in Regina and left in a vehicle with them. The victim was beaten, tortured, and robbed. olice say the suspects tried to access the victim’s bank account as well. The victim was taken to a field outside of Fort Qu’appelle, reportedly beaten further and left unconscious. A passerby spotted the victim hours later and called 911.

A search warrant was executed a month after the attack in Wadena. Sheridan Squirrel, aged 22, and and 25 year old Jenna Hoffman were arrested and charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery and choking to overcome resistance. In March of this year, Sheridan Squirrel, as part of a plea agreement, plead guilty to aggravated assault, robbery and forcible confinement and was sentenced to five and a half years in jail. Jenna Hoffman is in custody and awaiting trial. Her next court appearance is June 17th.

Last Tuesday, 24 year old Austin Severight of the Yellowquill First Nation, was arrested in Tisdale and he is in court today (tues) on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery and choking to overcome resistance.
