September 1st is the tentative date for the return of in person Saskatoon city council meetings.

That from City Clerk Adam Tittemore who says a final, return to workplace plan, is being worked on for all civic facilities.
He says the return to the workplace plan will focus on employee and public safety and will be phased in and customized by each civic facility.

To make in person council meetings happen Tittemore says they need to ensure council and support staff can safely be present. He adds the other considerations are what point the general public would be able to attend the meetings. Tittemore says they would need to ensure that city hall chambers could accommodate hybrid in person and virtual meetings as well.

The City Clerk explains in a general way the city will look to use the vaccination rate based triggers outline in the provincial re-opening map. He doesn’t anticipate major changes until step three of that plan.
