An early Saturday evening traffic stop near Onion Lake earned the driver of the vehicle 13 charges, the passenger a few more and netted R-C-M-P a seizure of drugs and firearms.

Twenty-nine-year-old Aaron Chief of Onion Lake appeared in Lloydminster court Monday to answer to 13 charges after Onion Lake R-C-M-P pulled over the vehicle with an expired plate on East West Road in Onion Lake at about 6:45 p.m. on June 5. Upon a search of the vehicle, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine, drug packaging material, a scale, multiple imitation firearms, an illegally-possessed altered firearm and other weapons were found and seized. In addition, 26-year-old Zack Thomas of Onion Lake was arrested on warrants out of the Lloydminster R-C-M-P detachment and was take under custody there.
