Moose Jaw Police say a teenager pulled from the Moose Jaw River Friday has died.

STARS airlifted the 16 year old to hospital after police, fire and EMS responded to Wakamow Valley over the supper hour Friday.

The teen had been swimming, had gone underwater and could not be located despite the efforts of bystanders. Emergency crews arrived on scene and found the boy who was in medical distress.

The drowning investigation has been turned over to the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Office.
