Angus Reid says its latest poll shows the Conservative and Liberal parties locked in a statistical tie. The Tories, hold a three-point lead over the incumbents, 36 per cent versus 33 per cent. All other parties trail at least 20 points behind.
54 per cent of Canadian say they have a party they will definitely support in the next federal election. 46 per cent are considering their options. Within that last group, 40 per cent say they lean towards the liberals, 23 per cent towards the Conservatives and 17 per cent towards the NDP. The Pollster lumps Saskatchewan and Manitoba together for polling purposes and says, here, 52 per cent of the population supports the Conservatives, 23 per cent are for the Liberals, the NDP is next at 15 per cent, followed by the Green Party at six per cent. The People’s Party of Canada is last at three per cent. The poll was taken before the stories emerged of Trudeau in his younger days, dressing in blackface at a couple of events.
