It’s my Parting Shot for my Monday Musings…..

I don’t see Semyon Varlamov playing any better the rest of the semi-final series as he did in Game 1 yesterday on behalf of the Islanders. Tampa Bay is firing on all cylinders offensively, and it’s going to take four “steals” by Varlamov for the Isles to short-circuit the Lightning!

By the way, the same goes for Montreal against Vegas. The Canadiens will need Carey Price to be lights out to stop the Golden Knights. The Vegas skating group is far superior to that of the Habs, just like the Bolts are to the Islanders. Only goaltending, with a dash of special teams and luck are going to be required for the upsets to take place!

That was some display of power and offence by the Blue Jays over the weekend at Fenway Park! Five home runs and seven runs on Saturday, eight homers and 18 runs on Sunday. If not for the bullpen letting down Ross Stripling in Friday’s opener, Toronto might be looking at trying to complete a four-game sweep of the Red Sox right in Boston!
