Regina Police say an investigation into an injured child has now become a death investigation.
Last Wednesday around 10:30 a.m., police responded to a home in the 2300 block of Retallack Street to a report of a toddler who had been seriously hurt in a fall downstairs.
The 35 month old girl was taken to hospital by EMS and then airlifted to Saskatoon.
The child, who was a month shy of her 3rd birthday, died Sunday morning in Saskatoon hospital. The Regina Children’s Justice Center, in conjunction with Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service, is investigating the circumstances surrounding this death. No name is being released at this time.
