Residents wearing red lined the streets of Wolseley today to honour Constable Shelby Patton. RCMP and various business in the both Wolesley and Indian Head asked residents to wear red today as his body was taken to the funeral home in the community. The RCMP officer who was 26 years old died Saturday morning when he was hit by a stolen truck that he had pulled over in Wolsely. Two people from Winnipeg face multiple charges including manslaughter. Alphonse Traverse, 41-year-old, is back in court next Monday, 42-year-old Marlene Pagee is in court Friday. Patton, a six year member of the RCMP, who had been a member of the Indian Head Detachment since 2015, and leaves behind a wife, was by himself at the time he pulled over the suspect vehicle.
