A 24-year-old man from the Ahtahkakoop First Nation has been charged with second degree murder in a death of a man at a residence on the Ahtahkakoop First Nation.
Tyrell Knife was in court Wednesday in Prince Albert to face the second degree murder charge after 51-year-old Jimmy Williams was pronounced dead by E-M-S personnel, shortly after Ahtahkakoop R-C-M-P were called to the residence and a report of a man having been assaulted there around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday. Knife was arrested later Tuesday following an investigation. Knife and Williams were known to one another. Knife remains in custody and will make his next court appearance on June 25.
