A 30 year-old Regina man is facing charges in connection with the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

On Sunday, just before 9:15 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Elphinstone Street. Initial information indicated a man was seen in that area waving what looked like a sawed-off firearm. Police arrived and found a suspect as he was leaving the residence. Police located a pellet gun and a handful of shotgun shells. The man faces weapon charges.
