Saskatchewan’s Finance Minister says essential services will be maintained if unionized workers at Crown Corporations go on strike.
Unifor has strike mandates from workers at seven Crown Corporations representing a total of over 4-thousand employees.
They work at SaskTel, Secure Tek, DirectWest, SaskEnergy, SaskPower, SaskWater and the Water Security Agency.
Donna Harpauer says the Crown Corporations will utilize management staff in their contingency plans in the case of strikes.
She says the government respects the collective bargaining process including the right to strike.
