Saskatoon Police say one man is facing charges following an incident this morning. At 2:30, members of the Bike Unit observed a white, Mazda3 at 22nd Street and 5th Avenue , disabled on a curb. As they approached, officers say the driver was allegedly seen acting in an aggressive and erratic manner inside the vehicle, which was still in drive. He was safely removed from the vehicle by officers after they say, he tried to flee. It was believed he was under the influence of an intoxicant and he was taken to hospital by Medavie Health Services. Police say they found crack cocaine and carfentanyl on him and in the vehicle.
The 25-year-old is charged with Impaired Driving, Possession of Cocaine/Carfentanyl and Breach of Probation.
