Ahtahkakoop/Shellbrook RCMP say their investigation indicated four suspects entered two buildings on a rural property in the RM of Shellbrook around 4 o’clock Saturday morning and made off with four guns, an ATV and a truck. The suspects then went into the home on the property, were confronted by the homeowner, and when a gun was fired through a window in the house, the suspects took off in the stolen truck. No one in the home at the time was hurt. About four-and-a-half-hours later RCMP were notified the stolen truck was at a business in Shellbrook and while en route, officers got another call that the truck was stuck in a ditch on grid road 788. The suspects abandoned the stolen vehicle and piled into another truck while firing a gun at two members of the public as they drove away. RCMP attempted a traffic stop but the truck was driven through a field where four people fled on foot. One man was tracked down right away and was released with no charges. Two more people were arrested with help from Prince Albert Police Dog Services and other Prince Albert Police Service officers . Two firearms were recovered by police along with ammunition.
