Retail sales in Saskatchewan rose 0.9 per cent June to July. Statistics Canada says that was actually better than the national average which saw a rise of 0.4 per cent. Only three provinces eked out higher numbers. Year-to-year our sales were down three per cent. Four other provinces also declined but ours was the largest drop. Total sales came in at $1.6 billion dollars in July in Saskatchewan.
