2021 property tax payments are due Wednesday. If you are interested in paying your property tax bill over 12 months, you can apply for the Tax Instalment Payment Plan Service or TIPPS. But your property taxes have to be current to be able to apply. This allows you to pay property taxes by monthly pre-authorized debit rather than one annual payment.

If you are paying in one lump sum you can do so via internet banking, at most financial institutions, your cheque can be dropped in a city hall drop box, or in person. You cannot use credit cards to pay property taxes.

A penalty of 1.25 per cent will be applied to any 2021 property taxes unpaid after Wednesdays.
