As it stands right now, there are 464 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan. On June 1, that number stood at 1,272.

The case numbers not only in Saskatchewan. but across the Canada have started to diminish because of the vaccine rollout here and across the country.

Despite the numbers showing us the vaccines are working, some still choose not to get their first dose. Premier Scott Moe says the vaccines are doing what they should, so you should take that first shot as soon as possible.

70 percent of those over the age of 12 have received their first dose.

A recent poll indicates people in this province think a “vaccine passport” should be required if attending large events, Premier Moe says he won’t be legislating one.

That being said, Moe says there may be some national or international instances where proof of vaccination will be needed much like it is for diseases like malaria and typhoid fever.
