The province didn’t issue news releases to provide an update on the COVID-19 situation on the weekend but some of the numbers are still available and it appears there were 27 new cases of the COVID-19 virus reported Sunday. Three-hundred-ninety-eight cases remain active and the total number to date is 48,958.

There are 63 people in hospital with 53 of those individuals receiving inpatient care and 10 infections being treated in intensive care. The death toll from COVID-19, with no new deaths reported, remains at 568.

Another 13,445 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered yesterday bringing the total number to 1,216,372. As of Sunday, 486,200 residents are considered fully vaccinated.
