Regina Police responded to a head-on collision between a semi-truck and a pick-up truck just before 3 Saturday morning.

The collision happened on Ring Road near the Wascana Parkway exit. The driver of the pick-up was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The semi-truck driver was also taken to hospital with injuries sustained in the crash.

Police say the initial investigation indicates the driver of the pick-up was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of Ring Road. The investigation is continuing.

Police said in a new release early Saturday morning, that the eastbound and westbound lanes of Ring Road between Albert Street and Wascana Parkway are closed.
