The City of Saskatoon says two major road projects will begin Sunday. Full road closures are not expected, but traffic will be slowed.
One is a rehabilitation project on the Circle Drive overpass over 8th Street. That is expected to take about six weeks. Northbound and southbound traffic on Circle Drive will be slowed to 60 km/h through the work zone. Work beneath the overpass may result in periodic lane closures on 8th Street between 8:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. This section of 8th Street will remain fully open during the daytime. There will be no traffic impacts on the ramps that lead onto and off Circle Drive at 8th Street.
The second project involves College Drive resurfacing. The eastbound lanes of College Drive between Central Avenue and Highway 41 will be resurfaced. Eastbound traffic on College will be down to one lane through the 60 km/h work zone. Work is expected to take about two weeks.
