Two men have been charged in connection to a Regina Police investigation into an armed bank robbery on Friday morning. Officers responded to a robbery at a downtown Regina bank just after 11 Friday morning and were told a lone male entered, armed with what appeared to be a gun. He left in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police report a vehicle matching the description was found on Saturday and spike belts were used to stop it, but the driver didn’t stop. The vehicle headed out of Regina and the RCMP were alerted.
Two people were taken into custody in Lumsden.

Both Thirty-six year old Alex Desjarlais and 32 year old Brendan Hein are charged with armed robbery using a restricted firearm. Desjarlais is facing 14 charges in total from this investigation and Hein is facing three.

Desjarlais is also facing seven charges in connection to a robbery at a business on Albert Street on June 29th.
