Let’s start with the Deon Lacey, “now you see him, now you don’t” saga at Saskatchewan Roughriders training camp in Regina.
It appeared to those at Mosaic Stadium that nothing has changed with the veteran linebacker’s status in COVID protocol. He was not on the practice field.
Meanwhile, head coach Craig Dickenson provided an injury update. Veteran offensive lineman Terran Vaughn has a shoulder injury and will be sidelined day-to-day while wide receiver Jordan Williams-Lambert has a hand injury and will be out seven to 10 days. Vaughn’s shoulder hurt is not believed to be serious. Williams-Lambert picked up a cut on his right hand, suffered late in Tuesday’s practice. Paul McRoberts was taking his reps on Wednesday.
In addition, Dickenson and the Riders are hoping to start two Canadian receivers this season.
Thursday is the sixth day of camp for the Green and White.
