Sunday’s provincial COVID-19 update includes 36 new, confirmed cases, 78 recoveries and no new deaths. The totals to date are 49,433 cases of the virus and 575 deaths. The number of active cases in the past month has gone down by 63 per cent, from 763 on June 18th to 282 on Sunday. The number of people in the hospital has lowered by almost 35 per cent with 81 a month ago and 53 now.

The provincial report includes 12,312 variants of concern, of which 7,807 have been identified as a specific variant. The majority are the Alpha variant with 6,963 cases, and then next is the Delta variant with 424, followed by 410 Gamma and ten Beta variants. Click here for more information.
