The Saskatchewan Association of Conservation Officers say their Loon Lake officers answered a call a week and a half ago on July 11th, a Friday afternoon, around 2 p.m. where two jet skis were seen harassing geese on the shoreline and in the water. Witnesses saw the jet skiers drive into the flock of geese killing at least two.
One jet ski is described as older model, navy blue and white, with a heavier set man and a child operating the machine. The other jet ski is also an older model, yellow and white in colour, with a slender male and a child operating it.
Anyone who knows who may own the jet skis or who these individuals are, are asked to contact the TIP line at 1-800-667-7561. It is against the law to use a vehicle or power boat to chase, disturb, injure or kill wildlife.
