If you were looking around the C-F-L over the last 24 hours and noticed that most teams made a number of cuts to their training camp roster to get down to 75 players and the Saskatchewan Roughriders weren’t among them, the Green and White made up for it after their Day 10 workouts at Regina’s Mosaic Stadium.
The Riders announced the retirement of import offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio. They added four players from the suspended list…Canadian running back David Savard, import receiver Jordan Suell plus import linebackers Gary Johnson Junior and Michael Pinckney. The Roughriders got down to the 75-player limit, non including non-counters, by releasing four players.
Otherwise, one of the non-counters, Canadian draft choice Vincent Dethier went down after a special teams drill. After having his right knee Examined, Dethier got up and walked off the field with the trainers, at which point head coach Craig Dickenson ended the drill. Following is the news release from the Riders with the player moves…..
