Morse RCMP reported on Friday afternoon there was a fire which meant having to close the eastbound lanes of Highway 1. Now, there are a few more specifics. The fire was adjacent to Highway 1 between Ernfold and Chaplin. A baler and the field around it caught fire. With the help of local farmers, the Chaplin and Morse fire departments put out the fire. No one was injured, but the baler was destroyed.
