The Saskatchewan Roughriders continue their 2021 training camp with a single practice today, starting at Noon, at Mosaic Stadium in Regina. The Green and White open their 14-game regular-season on Friday, August 6th against the B-C Lions at Mosaic Stadium. Kick-off time is 7:30 p.m.

On the golf courses:
The Canadian Women’s Amateur Championships starts today and runs through Friday in Edmonton. The event features 72 holes of stroke play over four days. In addition, the first two days include the Inter-provincial team competition over 36 holes. There are five Saskatchewan entries with the provincial team members being Ella Kozak of Yorkton, Alexandra Schmidt and Autumn Nieszner of Regina plus non-team members Brooklin Fry of Shell Lake and Connie Swiftwolfe of Cochin. Today is the first round for the 110 total competitors.
The Saskatchewan Senior Women’s, Senior Men’s and Mid-Masters Men’s Championships start today and run through Thursday at The Legends Golf Course in Warman. The event features 54 holes of stroke play over three days. Today is the first round for the 20 players in the senior women’s division, 94 competitors in the senior men’s and 39 hopefuls in the mid-masters group for those aged 40-and-over.
