A Regina woman reported missing on Sunday after having last been seen just after 11 in the morning has been found dead. Joan Marie Stricker was last seen in the 31-hundred block of Windsor Park Road.

Police confirm that a vehicle matching the description of Stricker’s vehicle was found in the RM of Edenwold on Sunday and that’s when a public plea for information was released. Along with the Regina Police Service, Saskatchewan RCMP and Search and Rescue Saskatchewan helped in the search where the vehicle was found.

Monday afternoon, a body was found about 1.6 kilometres away from the abandoned vehicle and the identity has been confirmed to be 57 year old Joan Stricker.

The Saskatchewan Coroners’ Service is continuing the investigation, along with the Regina Police and the RCMP.
